A brief insight into our production

THE PRODUCTION
Made in
Germany &
Austria
The POP Fender is a 100% European product: the technology center, development and research are based in Austria, and the components are produced in Austria and Germany.
The TPV material is produced in Wales UK and in the USA, TPU in Germany.
We have also made sure that our additional products come from Europe.
This keeps the supply routes short and we can be sure that the production is fair and of high quality.
Small & Compact
The POP Fender is telescopic from 620mm (2’1/2″) to 250mm (9 3/4″) on both sides. The POP Fender is therefore smaller than ANY other fender.
There are new, unimagined stowage possibilities like never before. The POP Fender really saves space on the boat! Pure luxury!
Inherently stable
The POP Fender is inherently stable and is not affected by temperature fluctuations – i.e. it does not implode or inflate.
As temperatures rise, the POP Fender becomes a little softer, as temperatures fall it becomes a little stiffer, but it also works at sub-zero temperatures.
Environment
POP Fender is made of TPV material – thermoplastic vulcanizates or cross-linked thermoplastic elastomers based on olefins, mainly EPDM with small amount of polypropylene (PP). TPV is:
- free from harmful substances and plasticizers
- non-toxic
- durable
- recyclable
Conventional fenders are all made of PVC, which directly harms the environment by outgassing the plasticizers which is no longer justifiable nowadays.
Once your POP Fender is getting on in years, you can send it back to us. We wash and shred the old POP Fenders so that the material can be reused. In this way, everyone contributes a little bit to a more sustainable world!

No squeaking
Conventional fenders “stick” to the surface of the boat and this causes the unpleasant squeaking noise. The POP fender does not stick or squeak and therefore protects the hull of the boatas no high friction is generated.
The POP Fender material TPV does not contain plasticizers and therefore does not squeak.
There is also less streaking.
Colors
Available in 10 different colors, which can be individually combined.
The combination always refers to the centerpieces. The basic color is either white or black, the centerpieces can be chosen individually – as shown here.
Fenders that are perfectly matched to your boat design – for a personal touch!
Hardly any streaking
Streaking is much less prevalent compared to conventional PVC fenders.
Should there still be traces, they can be removed with ease – without scrubbing or chemicals!
With POP Fender you don’t need fender socks anymore either!
More money saved and according to this forum, fender socks aren’t really all that practical anyway:
Maintenance-free
You do not need an air pump. The POP Fender cannot burst.
You can replace and/or reorder the individual segments as needed.
Dishwasher cleaning
You can easily wash the POP Fender in the dishwasher. 4 fenders fit in the dishwasher.
Works under water
The POP Fender is the first fender that can be used under water. It can float naturally because the material has a density of 0.92kg/dm³, making it lighter than water.
POP Fender is suitable for NOK locks
NOK locks start at an angle (see picture). As you can use the POP Fender underwater, the underwater hull does not hit the lock wall.
